Acura RLX is a front-wheel drive E-class sedan, a successor RL model. The world premiere was held at the motor car show in Los Angeles in November 2012. 

Since RLX replaced in the lineup Acura RL model, there is nothing surprising in the fact that the sedan became a kind of evolution of its predecessor for some design decisions. However, the creators of RLX introduced a number of innovations to identify this model. For example, full LED optics, grille, tail lights, and other items. 

Acura RLX interior deserves a separate word. Upholding the brand’s best traditions, it is made entirely from the premium materials. RLX can boast of a high quality assembling. The RLX interior is rather restrained in style, but meets all modern standards of the premium segment, including standard equipment at the same time. All sorts of safety equipment and security systems, including numerous pillows (front and side), ABS, dynamic stabilization system and so on are also on the list of features. 

If we talk about the technical side Acura RLX, first of all, we should mention that the sedan is even longer than its predecessor. Its length is 196”, while the RL stretches for 195.78”. To slightly reduce the vehicle’s weight Acura engineers used a good deal of aluminum in its design. As a result, the weight of the sedan is 3931 lbs, even though it is equipped with a full-control chassis Precision All Wheel Steer, in which the rear axle wheels are rotated by electric actuators. 
Acura RLX possesses a 3.5-liter V-shaped engine with six cylinders, working in tandem with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
