Audi A5 is a D-class coupe with a front-or all-wheel drive, built on the platform of Volkswagen Group MLB. The upgraded model made its debut on the international scene at the motor show in Frankfurt in September 2011. A5 exterior featured changes in the grille, headlights head optics and taillights. At the same time Audi A5 dimensions remained the same, except for a slight increase in length by 0.39 inches (up to 182 inches). Almost nothing has changed in the interior. Probably, color choice and decoration options became wider. 

After restyling AWD transmission of the A5 got rid of the center differential Torsen, receiving in return a cylindrical assembly, locked by a multi-plate clutch, and preserving the distribution of thrust on the axis. In normal conditions it is 40:60, but if necessary, the ratio can be shifted to 70% in favor of the front axle and to 85% - in favor of the rear. Audi A5 is produced in the German city of Ingolstadt, and at the factory of Audi, Euromobil subsidiary in Shah Alam (Malaysia).
